Overview
ABSTRACT
In order to achieve reliable simulations in power electronics, equivalent circuits able to represent wound components are needed. However, for windings greater than 3 in number, few general representations have been put forth. By focusing on the representation of N winding transformers by localized constant equivalent circuits, this paper focuses mainly on components transmitting between 1 W and 10 kW and operating at between 10 kHz and 10 MHz The method presented makes it possible to find equivalent circuits suitable for representing the magnetic coupling of any N-winding transformer.

INTRODUCTION
This dossier, divided into two parts, focuses on the representation of n-winding transformers by equivalent circuits with localized constants. It focuses on components transmitting from 1 W to 10 kW and operating between 10 kHz and 10 MHz.
The circuits developed in this first part can be used by all electronic simulation software.
A separate dossier, to be published at a later date, will describe methods for identifying all the components in these circuits. These are based exclusively on impedance measurements, requiring no dismantling of the component.
