8. Zero mean field or fluxgate sensor

The zero-field sensor uses the same principle as the magnetometer (better known as a fluxgate) . The magnetometer is an extremely accurate magnetic field measuring device. It can be used to measure continuous or low-frequency magnetic fields in the range 10 –10 to 10 –4 . The basic configuration is shown in figure 24 .
