2. Any EM cavity behave like a TEM mode resonator

Previously, we have seen that any TEmn (or TMmn ) mode in waveguide behaves like a virtual transmission line (TL). This analogy may be extended to the EM cavities, especially with the rectangular shaped cavities assimilated to a TEM mode resonator, i.e. a TL short-circuited at both ends.
