Waveguide ; guide d’ondes
A waveguide is composed of an empty metal tube, with inside an antenna fed by an external RF source devoted to the EM wave emission. Generally, shape of the waveguides obeys to a rectangular or circular cross section.
TE modes ; modes TE
The abbreviation TE, is related to the transverse electric mode, which involves, or not, the propagation of EM wave inside a waveguide, then, the TE modes are characterized in terms of only one electric field vector contained in the waveguide cross section.
