5. MV and MV/LV substations for distribution networks
Substations are widespread on distribution networks, and for the most part are technical premises equipped with electrical equipment for network operation, voltage transformation, or both. Electrical substations can be classified into three main families, according to their main function:
MT structure items whose main function is operation;
MV/LV public distribution substations ;
private substations designed to supply high power to a single customer.
