3. Plant structure

To define the structure of the installation, it's important to examine all the elements likely to contribute to the choice of equipment, as well as the various diagrams to be implemented.

3.1 Locations

The first step is to determine the locations for delivery, processing and distribution. These locations must take into account :

  • the geographical position of high-power consumption units, in order to reduce the length and cross-section of pipelines (power barycentre);

  • handling of heavy equipment (transformers, switchboards);

  • the layout of premises specially assigned to an electrical service;
