1.1 Definitions

cell (or element) :

The simplest form of a rechargeable electrochemical battery. It is indivisible and represents the smallest component capable of generating voltage, storing and supplying energy.

drums :

Association of several cells in series and/or parallel.

capacity :

Quantity of charge that can be stored in a cell. A capacity of 1 Ah (ampere.hour) actually corresponds to an electrical charge of 3,600 C (coulomb). Capacity is defined as the time during which a given current is delivered by the cell at an acceptable voltage specified by the manufacturer.
