4.1 Fields of application

Thanks to major advances in integration, a functional assembly or sub-assembly can now be produced in a single monolithic circuit.

Conversion stage integration is now available on a wide range of products.

Microprocessors, microcontrollers and DSPs naturally integrate interfaces, often multiplexed in AN and NA, with performances such that they cover most common applications from 8 to 12 bits, or even 14 bits, and speeds from a few kHz to a few MHz. We also find very simple products such as temperature sensors, which can then transfer their measurements digitally and also become calibratable, programmable...
