4. Cavity modes
Cavity modes in the vicinity of the TE mode resonance peak 01δ are distinguished by the fact that they appear as soon as the shielding is closed. These peaks constitute parasitic modes for the mode in question. In fact, these modes can be used in filter applications. They have been analyzed at and can be correlated with empty cavity modes by including a partial dielectric loading. Figure
