5. Shape of the dielectric resonator
Dielectric resonators are generally cylindrical in shape, but they can also be cubic or spherical. The cubic configuration allows for the creation of cavities with triple modes s along the cube’s three axes, thereby tripling the filter’s volume. Similarly, the spherical design was developed for 850 MHz filter applications in radiotelephony.
