1. Preamble

The interface circuit of a piezoelectric mechanical energy recovery system aims to maximize the average power recovered, i.e. the energy recovered per cycle or over a set of cycles. To achieve this goal, knowledge of the transducer's electromechanical behavior is essential. Among various approaches, so-called "localized constant" behavioral models, based on the principle of piezoelectric transduction, and mechanical and electrical equilibrium equations, are known for their ease of use.
