3. Conclusion

The "Power electronics: conversion and management" section aims to bring together concepts from two rather distant worlds of electronics. On the one hand, the power electronics engineer pushes the multiple concepts of switching conversion to very low power levels, or uses general electronics technologies to miniaturize converters. On the other hand, the electronics expert is obliged to consider energy management in the design of functions which, historically, presented a marked boundary at supply voltage level, implying that the electronic upstream of this DC voltage was not part of the function's design space.
