2. Frequency assignment and site management

The TNRBF allocates frequency bands to licensees, specifying the type of services authorized and the conditions of use. Each assignee then deploys transmitters and receivers in each of its bands, according to terms and conditions set by it in compliance with the law prevailing in its sector of activity. All transmitters whose equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) exceeds 5 W must be authorized by ANFR, and all frequencies actually used must be authorized by ANFR. This provides ANFR with a database of transmitters, frequencies actually used and easements to be respected throughout France.
