4.1 Standardization

Numerous organizations such as ITU-T, IETF and IEEE are involved in standardizing the protocols used to transport mobile traffic over packet networks. Three organizations are mainly active in defining interfaces and/or architecture at system level: the Broadband Forum, the Metro Ethernet Forum and the NGMN alliance.
