4. Control

The ANFR carries out inspections of radioelectric sites and networks to verify compliance with regulatory conditions. This is a fundamental part of its role as a "frequency police", and it devotes considerable technical and human resources to this task, notably thanks to its international control center in Rambouillet, and its regional services spread across the country (120 agents) and equipped with detection and control resources unrivalled in the Administration.

ANFR has a system for monitoring the VHF and UHF bands, based on 7 remote control centers linked to fixed stations located throughout mainland France, and transportable stations. It also has a fleet of vehicles fitted out as laboratories for frequency measurements up to 3 GHz. Finally, we have a vehicle that can be used to take measurements at frequencies up to 40 GHz.
