Assignation ; Assignment

Frequency assignment" means the authorization given by an assignee for the use by a radio installation of a given frequency or radio channel under specified conditions.

Allocation; Allocation

Entry in the Table of Frequency Allocations of a specific frequency band, for use by one or more terrestrial or space radiocommunication services, or by the radio astronomy service, under specified conditions. This term also applies to the frequency band in question.

Specific absorption rate; Débit d'absorption spécifique

Rate at which the energy produced by a piece of equipment is absorbed by a unit of mass of body tissue, expressed in watts per kilogram (W/kg), measured on the whole body or on one of its parts.
