Default-Free Zone (DFZ)

Set of routers at the heart of the Internet that maintain all the routes available on the Internet. Consequently, these routers do not maintain any default routes, hence the notion of a routing area free of default routes.

Identifier; identify

Information characterizing the identity of a terminal connected to the Internet. This information typically corresponds to the least significant bits of an IP address, i.e. the "terminal" portion of the IP address following the "network" portion. For example, the last 64 bits of an IPv6 address explicitly identify an IPv6 terminal interface.

Information identifying the location where an Internet-connected terminal connects. This information typically corresponds to the "network"...
