So far, we've used pre-programmed analyzers. We will now design our own, custom-built machine learning model, and explain how to integrate it into an Android™ application. Initially, we present a summary of the history of machine learning.
5.1 Machine Learning
Machine learning is a sub-field of artificial intelligence. It involves programming a machine to learn how to perform tasks usually carried out by human beings, by studying examples of these tasks.
From the data, the machine tries to find a mathematical model, as simple as possible, that will enable it to reproduce the examples it has been shown. This model can be more or less complex. The simplest is the linear model f (x) = a · x + b. It separates a space into two distinct parts...
