3. Methodological proposal
This article defines a framework for applying various agile principles to the development of mission-critical software. The agile approach emphasizes collaboration within the development team, customer feedback, and rapid delivery in small batches. Changes are continually integrated, and usable versions of a product are delivered frequently.
The term agile covers a range of frameworks such as Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban, to name but a few. While having the same objective as agile, namely to accelerate and optimize software development, DevOps is an extension of agile to operational team processes and requirements, right through to maintenance, incorporating test and delivery automation, Lean principles of continuous improvement and continuous delivery.
