2. Computer organization and structure

There are many more computers hidden in embedded systems than there are PCs, but the latter is still a very good example of the basic structure of a computer.

2.1 Calculation, memorization and communication

Figure 7 shows the basic structure of a PC or single-processor workstation in 2008. This diagram highlights the three essential elements involved in any computer structure: calculation, storage and communication.
