1. Visible and hidden computers
Visible computers are well known: desktop PCs, laptops, servers, supercomputers. However, they are only the tip of the iceberg, as the overwhelming majority of processors are used in invisible computer systems known as embedded systems or mobile systems. Figure 1 shows some common examples of such systems.
