2. Applicable standards
Although software is a relatively recent product, it does not escape the scrutiny of international standards bodies (ISO, IEC, IEEE and AFNOR).
The ISO 9000/9001 quality management standards apply to all organizations, including those that design, manufacture and sell software. However, international bodies have also drawn up specific standards, adapted for software. Here is a summary of the main ones.
