2. RAD and prototyping

To achieve its objectives, this method proposes a specific iterative development cycle (figure 2 ).

Requirements are defined with users during JRP (Joint Requirement Planning) meetings, at the end of which (and even during which) the conceptual data model is built. JAD (Joint Application Design) meetings are then organized. These define the detailed specifications. The application is then built using the prototyping method.

A RAD project therefore comprises the following stages:

  • initialization ;

  • expression of needs ;

  • DESIGN ;

  • building the prototype ;

  • integration, validation and acceptance;...
