2. Web application design problems

As already mentioned, software for the Web has invaded all fields of application. Simply transposing existing applications soon proved ineffective and impractical, as new Web-specific technical problems emerged. The aim of this paragraph is to show why Web-specific design methods are needed, what problems these methods have to solve, which methods are the most important and which approaches they use.

2.1 Why do we need design methods?

One of the major characteristics of Web applications is their constant evolution.
