4.1 Extrapolation

The procedure for hydraulic, mechanical and economic extrapolation of an agitation system is described.

We assume a mixing operation (homogenization) carried out in a 10 m 3 tank, to be extrapolated to a 100 m 3 tank. In this case, local and mean fluid velocities are kept identical, and a longer mixing time is assumed for industrial capacity.
