This example illustrates how to design a catalytic reactor. The first step is to gather all the physico-chemical properties needed to determine the kinetic regime at the level of the catalyst particles.

The study of how activity behaves over time is essential, firstly to select the most appropriate reactor, and secondly to adopt a reactor operation strategy based on the decrease in catalyst activity over time.
