5. Application to a reconfigurable flexible system for manufacturing mechanical parts
The adaptability of production to the variability of the products to be manufactured and the uncertainty of demand (reconfiguration of flows, reorganization of production lines, modification of machines, installation of robots or autonomous handling trucks, automated machines) is a strong feature of the industry of the future. Health and safety aspects must be taken into account in the design and modification of workstations, while ensuring quality control and productivity. By enriching the geometric model of the workstation using the concepts and models defined above, we can simulate different production scenarios (layout of workstations or manufacturing modules, usable space per workstation, traffic flow, time planning) to identify robust solutions for configuring equipment and production planning, in order to identify and eliminate hazardous situations.
