1. Liquefied gases: terminology and principle

1.1 Classification

There are currently more than 200 gases used in industry . While some are stored in the gaseous phase, many are first liquefied by compression or cooling in order to be more easily transported and stored in cylinders, tanks or containers on semi-trailers or LNG tankers.
