6. Extraction with chemical reaction

For simplicity's sake, we'll treat this section by assuming that the solvents are immiscible and the solutes are in low concentrations. Volume flow rates are therefore constant. We'll assume that steady-state conditions are reached.

Only the case where the reaction reaches equilibrium will be discussed here. The opposite case is covered in the article [J 1 077] Application of kinetic models to material transfer operations.
