5. Outlook

Polymerization catalysis is a highly dynamic field, which has seen several generations of catalysts developed over the last 40 years (table 9 ). The latter have constantly been adapted either to meet economic needs (higher productivity, gas-phase polymerization, control of polymer particle size), or to offer new materials with new properties (metallocene polyolefins, CΟ-ethylene copolymers).
