2.1 Adsorption mechanism

Chemisorption is an exothermic adsorption phenomenon that enables reactive species (N 2 , O 2 , CO, CO 2 , C x H y , H 2 S, etc.) from the gas phase to be fixed by sticking to the surface of an adsorbent.
