4. Properties predicted by COSMO-RS as a function of the environment

Table 3 summarizes the properties predicted by COSMO-RS and the expected accuracy of predictions. In addition, figure 7 gives an overview of the fields of application of COSMO-RS in terms of predictable properties. COSMO-RS can be applied to liquid/liquid, liquid/gas, liquid/solid equilibria, planar interfaces, self-assembly in the liquid phase, reactions in solution, complex matrices with poor molecular definition (such as human fluids and membranes) and transport properties.
