4. Conclusion

Depending on the desired result, each component of an air-conditioning system can range from the simplest to the most complex:

• The air handling unit can be a simple unit heater or be fitted with an economizer or energy recovery system;

• the control system can be composed of a thermostat or a PLC linked to a centralized management system;

• the air distribution system can be as simple as a vent or grille, or as complex as a variable-flow or variable-volume system.
