6. Justification for a deep foundation

6.1 Limit states to consider

The design justifications for a deep foundation are carried out in accordance with Eurocode 7 (AFNOR, 2005a and 2007a) and its national application standard NF P 94-262 (AFNOR, 2012).

The boundary states to be considered concern :

• the floor ;

• foundation materials ;

• if necessary, displacements which, if exceeded, could adversely affect the performance of the supported structure.
