2. Enhancing the value of drilling and boreholes

Drilling is the most costly part of a reconnaissance operation. The aim is to highlight the geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical characteristics of a site by drawing up maps and profiles, and expressing these characteristics in figures using appropriate tests.

2.1 Survey sheet

For each survey, a card is drawn up in which all the data are recorded:

  • campaign identification ;

  • MACHINE TYPE ;

  • tools used ;

  • casing diameters ;

  • feed speeds ;

  • water intake or loss, recovery percentage ;

  • description of the terrain...
