4. Reinforced and nailed floor walls

The reinforced soil forming the retaining structure (figure 25 ) is a material resulting from the combination of backfill soil and metal reinforcement in the form of strips, generally of galvanized steel, or geosynthetics. It is also known as a "reinforced earth" wall.
