General information on the diagrams shown

The equilibrium diagrams of the metal alloys presented in this article have been chosen primarily on the basis of the practical and industrial interest of the corresponding alloys; their list is therefore not exhaustive. These diagrams have been compiled from the collections of equilibrium diagrams listed in "Further reading". , including those by Hansen, Elliott, Shunk, ASM and Moffatt, as well as from original publications.

Diagrams not included in this article can be consulted in the more specialized works listed in "Further reading". Some references to books on equilibrium diagrams for oxides and refractory compounds (ceramics) are also given.
