4. Tomography in foundry R&D

In the foundry sector, R&D has undoubtedly benefited the most from micro-tomography in recent years. Indeed, tomographic analyses enable the quantification of phenomena (defects, inclusions, etc.) and the recovery of geometry, a very important contribution to numerical simulation and calculation for the purpose of understanding mechanisms. We would like to highlight the important work [IN 20] and pioneering work carried out by INSA Lyon.
