1. Development of a forging range

Almost all geometries can be obtained by cold forging, but the industrial objective remains competitiveness. This means minimizing overall costs to meet functional requirements.

Experience in this field is essential, as it enables us to direct the search for compromise shapes and tolerances during preliminary discussions with other partners (always bearing in mind the consequences on the manufacturing range, and therefore on costs, of the orientations that emerge during these preliminary discussions).

The number of possible variants is so great that the first choices are made on the basis of rough rules to quickly check design ideas. Options often depend on the equipment available. The size of production runs justifies the search for a more elaborate design, generally involving a more complex range.
