3. How to get involved

The standard is aimed at any company that manufactures, distributes or uses paints and coating products and wishes to claim their ecological quality: small manufacturers, large groups, specialist stores, painters, craftsmen, etc.

The first step in the certification process is to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the standard. Next, a contract is signed with Ecocert, and the file is entrusted to a specialized engineer. The engineer will accompany the applicant until he or she obtains a certificate of conformity for the products concerned. This attestation is valid for one year, and will be renewed at the next audit, if the file is still deemed compliant.
