8.1 Types of body fluids

The production of a furnace atmosphere from an organic liquid is carried out directly in the furnace by instillation using the drop-by-drop method. Temperature-dependent thermal dissociation of organic liquids and liquid mixtures determines the chemical composition of the atmosphere generated in situ. Organic liquids contain three to four constituents, depending on whether they are used for protection, case-hardening or carbonitriding.
