2. Thermal flame projection
2.1 General principle
Thermal spraying using heat energy from gas combustion is known as flame spraying.
The temperature of an oxy-fuel flame ranges from 2,800°C (oxypropane) to 3,150°C (oxyacetylene) (figure 8 ). Materials that melt at temperatures below 2,800°C, and which do not sublimate, can be projected in the flame.
