agglomerate; sinter

Agglomerate of fine iron ore (sinter feed) and carbonaceous material after high-temperature firing.

basicity

Mass ratio of basic oxides to acid oxides in an oxide system (different calculation formulas).

basicité optique; optical basicity

A parameter calculated from the composition of the slag, used to represent certain properties of the slag.

pellet; pellet

Spherical agglomerate of very fine iron ore (pellet feed) produced by pelletizing and firing at high temperature.

sulfur or alkali capacity; capacité en soufre ou alkalins du laitier

Slag's ability to dissolve sulfur or alkalis under given thermodynamic conditions.
