7. Conclusion

The effects of residuals introduced by scrap are well known in their general approach, but they need to be the subject of specific studies according to the finished products in connection with the mechanical transformations of the manufacturing processes.

As far as the electric furnace sector is concerned, one important point concerns nitrogen levels, which can only be reduced to very low levels by vacuum metallurgy, a costly operation.
