6.1 Warranties

Pre-painted aluminum can provide the customer with guaranteed outdoor performance, even in severe conditions. However, the alloy and coatings must be adapted to the customer's exact requirements, including distance from the seashore and chemical aggression in the interior. The warranty, agreed with the coating supplier, can extend to 10 years. This is the case at the Pechiney plant in Dunkirk, France, which has just been built and clad with metallized PVDF pre-painted aluminum cladding, profiled using a roll-forming machine (figure 3 ).
