2.1 Photovoltaic modules

A photovoltaic module consists of photovoltaic cells connected in series and in parallel. Photovoltaic cells are primarily made of silicon (over 97% of the market) and come in the form of wafers measuring 182 to 210 mm on each side, with a thickness of only 110 to 150 µm.
