4. Strategies for mitigating battery ageing

BMS (Battery Management System): electronic battery control system ensuring that the battery operates under compatible and safe electrical, thermal and mechanical conditions, as defined by the battery manufacturer.

4.1 Materials

To limit battery ageing, and given the many mechanisms involved, there are several mitigation strategies for materials and internal components. They can be classified as follows:
