2. Technical description of the cutting tool

Although a consumable in industrial machining production, the cutting tool is nonetheless a highly technical piece of equipment. As a consumable, the role of the cutting tool can be marginalized by the user in terms of importance, to the detriment of other technical subjects (NC machine, programming, fitting, etc.). Yet it is the only material in dynamic contact with the machined material during the material removal process. Its role is therefore de facto essential. .
