 INTRODUCTION

Nanoparticles should, as their name suggests, be particles of nanometric size. Often, perhaps due to the current craze for nanotechnologies, particles measuring tens or even hundreds of nanometers are also referred to as nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are small colloids.
