5. Conclusion and outlook

The D-Preg technology developed by Fibroline uses an alternating electric field to cause binding and/or functional powders to migrate completely dry into porous substrates.

The advantages of the technology presented in this article are significant, and are linked in particular to the savings generated by the low consumption of the process, but also to the quality and control of the impregnation, enabling the desired properties to be achieved more effectively.

Although the applications presented in this article mainly concern the field of technical textiles and composites, these examples are not exhaustive and we can cite other examples of applications in the polyurethane foam sector for automotive applications or the field of technical paper for filtration.
